Dr. Raanan Berger is a senior uro-oncologist and uro-radiologist at Assuta Hospital in Tel-Aviv and serves as head of Chaim Sheba Medical Center’s genitourinary oncology program and its clinical research facility. He received his MD and PhD from Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School, and underwent his clinical training in the fields of Oncology and Radiation Treatment at Sheba. His fellowship took place at Harvard Medical School’s Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Prof. Berger has found Israel’s first (and only) oncological phase 1 trial unit. He has over 20 years of experience and has contributed to more than 40 peer-reviewed publications. He is fluent in English and Hebrew.
Dr. Raanan Berger contributed to multiple studies in the field of treating oncological diseases under the tutelage of Dr. Gideon Rechavi, who serves as the head of the Cancer Institute at Sheba, Tel HaShomer, and has also overseen more than 80 early and late stage clinical trials. He is a member of the Israel Medical Association and also serves as secretary of the Israeli Society of Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy.
