Coronary Artery Disease Treatment in Israel
Ischemic heart disease (also known as coronary artery disease) is the most common cause of death worldwide. It occurs due to insufficient blood supply to the heart. In other words, it develops when the heart requires more oxygen that the damaged coronary arteries can provide. Without timely treatment it will lead to either an infarction or chronic angina pectoris.
The main risk factors for IHD are:

Coronary Artery Disease Treatment Cost
Manor Medical Center is proud to offer a quick cardiac check-up program which includes coronagraphy. The procedures will take place at the ultra-modern Assuta Medical Center located in Tel Aviv.
The program includes the following investigations:
Diagnosis
- Routine blood work-up (CBC, CMP, lipid profile, coagulation factors, electrolyte levels)
- Stress echocardiography
- 24-Hour Holter Monitoring
- Cardiologist exam
The investigations will take place at will take place at Assuta Hospital over 3 business days. A treatment plan will then be drafted based on the results of the aforementioned investigations. If conservative (medicinal) treatment is not indicated, the most common option is the therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedure, during which a surgeon inserts stents into the affected arteries. In this case, the cost of treatment will depend on number and type of stents used.
Coronography will take place Assuta and will be performed by a senior specialist. You will be hospitalized for 1 or 2 days, and have a follow-up with your treating cardiologist a day after your discharge. If there are no complications, they will clear you to travel back home. In total, the length of your stay should, under normal circumstances, not exceed 5 days.
Please note that as the working week in Israel is Sunday-Thursday, you are advised to arrive on either Friday or Saturday.
Cardiac Surgery
In cases when neither medicinal treatment nor stent insertion are possible, you will be referred for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, during which a piece of a healthy blood vessel from elsewhere in your body is inserted to create a bypass around the blocked segment of the coronary artery. The surgery, like all other aspects of our coronary artery disease treatment program, will take place at the state-of-the-art Assuta Medical Center, home to Israel’s top cardiology department.
** Procedure can be performed utilizing the robotic da Vinci Surgical System. This will significantly decrease post-operative pain and shorten your recovery period.
