IVF Treatment in Israel

Israel offers patients access to the most advanced assisted reproductive technologies available. All treatments in our IVF in Israel program are performed by specialists from Sheba Tel-HaShomer’s IVF department, who have the highest fresh embryo transfer success rates in Europe at 57%.

IVF Treatment in Israel Program (Cycle)

We would like to save you unnecessary hassle and make sure you undergo all the necessary procedures during a single visit Israel. This is why we'll need to know the date of your menstrual cycle and the expected date of your next cycle. The investigations will need to be performed during the 28-2 days of your cycle, and the stimulation begins on day 3-4.

Stage 1

Female patient’s check-up includes:

  • Extensive blood workup (including CBC, CMP, coagulation factors, hormonal and lipid profiles, virology (HIV, HbsAg, HCV Ab, rubella IgG, CMV IgG & IgM, toxoplasma IgG & IgM and VDRL)
  • Urine tests (urinalysis and biochemistry)
  • Gynecologist and mammologist exams and pelvic US

Male partner’s check-up includes:

  • Blood workup (including CBC, CMP, HIV, HbsAg, HCV Ab)
  • Semen analysis

Said investigations take 3 business days.

Please note that additional tests may be indicated. They are not included in the basic IVF in Israel program costs, and you will be required to pay for them separately.

Stage 2

This stage takes approximately 21 days. Please note that your partner may leave Israel following stage 1 and return on his scheduled date of sperm extraction.

This stage includes:

  • IVF specialist consultations
  • Ovarian stimulation follow-up (as an outpatient) by means of blood tests and US scans
  • US-guided oocyte (egg) retrieval (1 day of hospitalization)

Sperm collection, egg fertilization and embryo transfer will then take place.

IVF Price DOES NOT include:

  • Prescribed medications (to be purchased by the patient separately)
  • ICSI (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection) – if indicated
  • TESA (testicular sperm aspiration) & required preoperative investigations before the procedure (ECG, blood work, chest X-ray)

Indications for ICSI

  • Abnormal semen analysis results
  • History of unsuccessful IVF treatments
  • Female patient over 40
  • Low number of mature oocytes (less than 4)

Please note that this is the basic IVF in Israel program. If indicated, the treating specialists may refer you for additional procedures not mentioned above (such as diagnostic hysteroscopy or male infertility check-up). These investigations are to be paid for separately.
